Here’s what you’ll need:

  • ½ cup corn syrup
  • ⅔ cup water
  • 2 ½ cups sugar
  • ½ tsp black food coloring

Here’s how to make your own:

Step 1: Get a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Spray your pan with non-stick spray.

Step 2: Pull out the stems of your apples and replace it with wooden sticks.

Step 3: Time to gather your ingredients!

Step 4: Pour your sugar, corn syrup, water, and your black food coloring in a pot and place it on the stove on medium heat.

Step 5: Stir all of the ingredients in the pot, until your sugar is dissolved.

Step 6: Once your mixture is smooth, place your candy thermometer in the pot. Wait until it gets to about 300 degrees.

Step 7: Time to dip your apples into the black syrupy mixture! Pro Tip: Keep your apples moving so that they don’t crystalize.

Step 8: Place your candy-dipped apples on a plate, decorated with assorted candies for an appealing presentation and a delicious taste!
